Northern Railway, the gemstone located in the Crown of Indian Railways was set up on 14 April, 1952 with its headquarter at Baroda House in the capital of India Delhi. NR also operates the world's largest route relaying interlocking (RRI) at Delhi. It is lauded that the Northern Indian Railways introduced online computerized reservations on February, 1986 for the first time to decrease the crowd on the counter.
